We have a few things that can be configured on the server side and a few services that return information about configuration:
1. anonymous user creation
2. email configuration
3. form/openid configuration

Each of those has one single service that returns the configuration to the client. I talked to Szymon and we both think that it would be good if there was one service that would return the server configuration and from the server side it could be extended. I could use it when implementing bug 377268 for the configured openId providers list.

We no longer require this service.
