Sometimes JCP Expert Groups (e. g. JTA, JSR88 and others) publish their classes not as 
JARs but ZIPs, also publish the javadocs as ZIPs. It would be great to be able to tell eclipse 
that a source variable is a ZIP and attach docs to the ZIP as it is already possible with JARs. 
Also it would be great to tell eclipse that the docs are in a ZIP file and not in a plain directory.

Libraries and source attachments support both JAR and ZIP format (Classpath 
entries can take both).

Moving to JDT/UI for the doc question.
