If you look in our actions menu, we have a lot of links and the emphasis is different, so I don't see using an ellipsis as additional treatment. In my mind as long as it looks like a link, it should be good enough. We expect the user to know clicking the link will go somewhere. Perhaps we just need to move from "verb" language to a noun that names the page. Such as "String Externalizer" (In reply to comment #1) > Perhaps we just need to move from "verb" language to a noun that names the > page. Such as "String Externalizer" Or maybe better "String Externalization Tool"? Yes switching away from a verb sounds like the right answer. I would think twice about clicking on a "verb" even if it looks like a hyperlink. It really needs a web 2.0 name like Xtrnalizr :) Changed to "Strings Xtrnalizr". We'll see if everyone will like that. (In reply to comment #3) > It really needs a web 2.0 name like Xtrnalizr :) To be clear, I was joking about that name. But, I'm fine with going with it for now and see if there is any feedback. Who knows, maybe in the web community it plays better than a boring name... I know, but I liked it :) We'll see if somebody finds it odd :) |
