I've always found it a little weird that that "Switch to Active Local" and "Switch to Remote" are links in the main toolbar.  now that we have a related pages menu, could we move those commands to be a related page contribution instead?

The other actions on the toolbar (fetch, force fetch, merge) are about dealing with the content, whereas that link is about going to something related.

marking RC1, what do you think Szymon?  I can do this, but it seemed "related" (no pun intended) to your other plans to move commands to related pages.

Yeah, I think it may be in Related. I'm indeed moving some href commands to related in RC1. I'll take a look at this too.

I managed to move "Switch to Remote" to 'Related' and this change along with some tidying up in git-log related is pushed. I will fix 'Switch to Active Branch' tomorrow.
