Description Szymon Brandys CLA 2012-05-24 03:58:06 EDT
In Bug 371930 and Bug 377932 we had problems with wrong inputs in slideouts. Trimming blanks helped there. I can think of cases though where we still want to make validation in slideouts. For instance email, url fields etc.

Ideally those kinds of validators would be available generically for places like:
- slideouts
- other dialogs
- settings

Now that we are no longer using dijit (and its typed select boxes, and its validation text box), it's very clear that this bug is really more generic. Retitling. Do we want common validation code for emails, urls, files, etc.

cc'ing Mark as he was just figuring out what to do with this issue on the sites page.

It really applies anywhere that we use typed fields.
