Here's the first suggestion for the mookup, which contains the additional data. 
First step: show the commit informations in a tableviewer, which is embedded in the task editor.

The mockup isn't actually showing a table viewer but a custom control (namely the Comments section). A table would look more like a combination of the Builds and History view. Can you describe the information that you are planning to visualize in the table viewer in the first pass?

Yes, in the first pass I would visualize a TableViewer with 3 columns (author, date, changed files).
 (And maybe the comment message)

Example: 

       Author     I      Date       I                      Files
Steffen Pingel I 30.04.2012  I TaskEditor.java, TaskList.java
     Tim A.       I 02.05.2012  I Dummy.java, Example.java 

Detailed Mookup will be coming.

Thanks. I think it would be helpful if the files were nested under the message like in the build editors (see first mockup).

Yes, can we done. I implement this feature as a first enhancement for the tableviewer, after it works and read the data correct form the git history. okay?

The current treeviewer visualize the following informations:
- author
- date
- commit message
- changed files

I think I can close this task, because the Mockup has been already created.
