The org.eclipse.pde branding plugin needs the new Eclipse icons. It is located in git here:

repo=git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/pde/eclipse.pde.ui.git,path=ui/org.eclipse.pde

This is currently causing the old icon to still appear under Help>About.

We decided to also use the new icons in 3.8 (see bug 378108 for details).
