I have s workflow like this:
In my self hosting site, I went to a commit page and navigated on diffs in a file. I generated a compare page link on the current diff like this :
http://libingw.orion.eclipse.org:8080/compare/compare.html?readonly#/gitapi/diff/aa4f2200875cdf71314d6e032a2f89419050d609..5dea0adbbf96d18797d643bfa1c8ffb8f7fbfa80/file/B2/bundles/org.eclipse.orion.client.core/web/orion/extensionCommands.js,block=7&change=2

I passed this to some one else and he could open the link by his account.

Then I tried to pass the whole commit page link like this :
http://libingw.orion.eclipse.org:8080/git/git-commit.html#/gitapi/commit/de5e660f40b2a607645a163d254809a993375bd1/file/B2/?page=1&pageSize=1

He could not open it by seeing "Unable to load /gitapi/clone/file/B2/ status: 404".

I was wondering if "B2" is something specific in my workspace but then I realized that the successful compare URL includes "B2" as well.

So I am not sure why the commit page URL failed on other users while compare URL did not.
