Description
Jim des Rivieres
Is anybody working on this? The Team/CVS team would like to stop using compare editors to show differences because a user is tricked into thinking that they can really edit the files. There is no code-completion, doens't update when the local resource is changed, and all the other fancy editor support. Change bars are fine but will the user be able to see the incoming changes too? duplicate (kind of) of bug 33456 Please join the discussion there. The change bar as it is at the moment could be augmented to be able to show some sort of incoming changes. However, I don't think we can get all the functionality of the compare editor / synch view into just a marginal bar without compromising functionality. This has been shipped with 3.0. |
