When I issue push I have to sit and stare at the screen until the work is complete. Otherwise the error message and or success message shows up and then disappears before I can read it.  The state of the remote system should be available in the view at all times.

I observe the same for repositories page.

Just for the walkaround: Ctrl+Shift+O takes you to operations page where you can see your clonning result.

Look like changes made by Szymon in bug 397792 fixed the problem. Now error is not cleaned on the page while the page is refreshing.
