We doing triage for my incoming bin, I'd like to easily schedule tasks for different date ranges (mostly today or this week). I'd be great to provide commands (and maybe keybindings for it). If we can't come up with a proper keybinding, that's fine as with the commands, everybody can define his own bindings for it.

I agree that it would be useful to expose these actions as commands. Marking as helpwanted to indicate that we would be happy to resolve this request through a contribution.
