Last year we prepared a downloads mirror server for EclipseCON. We want to do the same thing this year.

Please see the cloned bugs above which describe the history.

In essence:

- EMO sets up a downloads server and keeps it in sync with all the downloads
- EMO sets up redirects on download.eclipse.org and update.eclipse.org, and sets up DNS entries for the mirror server
- EMO sets up the server on Sunday before the conference, syncs up all the data and tests redirects

Anne, do we need two mirrors this year or just one?

Hey Denis,

You are psychic. Mary just sent a note to Swisscom to get the following info for the mirror server. And it's ONE server, not two.

Assigned IP Address
Subnet Mask
Gateway
DNS1 & DNS2 numbers

Actually, Matt reminded me about a mirror just yesterday.  I probably would have thought about it Friday night while I was packing.

I've updated the ECE mirror with the relevant networking info, as well all available patches.  I've handed it to Denis so it should simply be a matter of plugging it in.
