Description
David Williams
The big value of chkpii was validating HTML syntax errors. There are other possible options out there such as the w3c HTML validator. In Orion we use the xmlvalidate Ant task, but the platform doc is mostly not XHTML so I don't think it will help there (and I wouldn't recommend switching platform doc to XHTML either). (In reply to comment #0) > the "checkpii" tool (an internal IBM proprietary tool) The tool is called CHKPII. (In reply to comment #1) > The big value of chkpii was validating HTML syntax errors. That's only one part. For me a bigger advantage of the tool is that it finds invalid Java properties files when single quotes and MessageFormat are mixed. This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag. |
