Babel doesn't support searching for an english string and translating it. This would be a feature which improving the usability of the translation tool a lot!

You might even take it a step further and write a plugin connected to the Babel-Database allowing one to right-click in any eclipse-project on any string and then have the chance to enter a translation for this.

I think there was a project similar to this but I can't find it anymore.

+1.  I just noticed a string wrongly translated by myself but I can't find where it is.  How embarrassing!
