I noticed that sometimes people use bugXXX instead of bug XXX and our link scanner does not handle that. People also points at Bugzilla attachments i.e. attachment XXX what we could also handle.

Another issue is when one adds a complete link to a Bugzilla bug e.g. https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=XXX. I think we could have a general link scanner converting any link-looking strings into real links. Another approach would be to use Bugzilla scanner to convert just strings pointing at bugs.eclipse.org into real links.
