Description Nicolas Bros CLA 2012-02-08 04:07:48 EST
Hi,

I was trying to get the contents of my Hudson workspace locally on build.eclipse.org, to analyze disk usage (in response to the "Disk usage report for Hudson/Build" mail on cross-project-issues-dev)

The connection hangs a minute, and then returns a "502: Bad Gateway" each time I try.

nbros@build ~/temp
$ wget https://hudson.eclipse.org/hudson/job/modisco-nightly/ws/*zip*/modisco-nightly.zip

I also tried to analyze the workspace in /opt/public/jobs/modisco-nightly/workspace, but it doesn't contain the same files as the one I see in Hudson. So I guess it points to a different slave's workspace.

Are the other slave's workspaces mounted on build.eclipse.org? Or is there any other way to get the workspace contents?

I cannot access any file from my Hudson workspace at the moment, either from my PC or from build.eclipse.org. The connection hangs even when I try to download a very small file, and it returns a "Bad Gateway" error after exactly 5 minutes.

I've tried reading files from other job's workspaces, and the same thing happens.

note: the job is configured so that user "anonymous" can read the workspace.

The restart seems to have fixed this.

I ran into this issue again today. This time I think I found a way to reproduce. I created Bug 371581 on Hudson.

We're not going to investigate this further. HIPP is the best solution moving forward: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Hudson#HIPP
