Don't take it personally, this is just a glitch. In fact, I think I know what's going on. Let me investigate. The + sign was causing us grief... I've fixed that. When you get a moment, can you please try logging in again at https://dev.eclipse.org/site_login/ ? Thanks Yeah, I've set up my login to always use the plus sign. I use a password manager so I don't even type in my address any more. I tried it again and I got a totally blank web page again at https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&view=bsp&ver=ohhl4rw8mbn4 Oh wait, that makes no sense! Hitting the "Continue >" button from "https://dev.eclipse.org/site_login/" sends me to gmail. And it's the gmail page that is totally blank. Going back and hovering over the "Continue>" button shows the gmail address at the bottom of the FF screen. So I did a view-source and the link explicitly points there, with an image of continue.png. So the gmail address is being written by your server into the web page, no JavaScript involved. Is that anything like normal? Ah, I see. 'return to previous page' is a link to the same gmail page. both links get the same URL. I think I've inadvertently sabotaged your regular expressions. If you ask me to, I'll change my email address to a simpler address, or make a new registration. If you want to keep on debugging your system (the email address is valid according to the RFC), I'll keep plugging away at it along with you. Hi Chip, Thanks for your help. I've fixed the problem with new registrations with "+" symbols in the email address being banned from the forums. As for the login, yes, the Continue button brings you back to the page you were on before hitting the login. In most cases, that's a forum post to which one wants to reply to, but they're not logged in. At this time, you should be able to log in at https://dev.eclipse.org/site_login/ and, without hitting continue, you should be able to make your way onto the forums without being "banned" :) Thanks for your help in resolving this. |
