Marc, what do you mean by the full RSE properties? (In reply to comment #1) > Marc, what do you mean by the full RSE properties? The set of properties accessible through the Remote Systems view. Changing the IP address for example. Created attachment 248135 [details]
edit connection proposal
Hi Marc, I was about to enter a new bug about the same topic, there is no way to edit the connection without leaving the launch configuration. My thinking was to add an "Edit..." button next to "New..." and "Properties". The "Edit..." will open the connection properties page in order to change the host name as this is the most common case. Why a new button? Because "Properties" is not necessarily related to the connection, it has some settings about the application to be downloaded to the target - like remote workspace location etc. Please see the attachment above. What do you think? Any thoughts? Here is the patch: https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/35543 I have pushed the changes to master: https://git.eclipse.org/c/cdt/org.eclipse.cdt.git/commit/?id=1a87fa7fe354503517e04341503e832c31a66cbe Thanks for this! Can you update the New&Noteworthy with this nice change? https://wiki.eclipse.org/CDT/User/NewIn86#Debug Thanks! (In reply to Iulia Vasii from comment #8) > Done. > https://wiki.eclipse.org/CDT/User/ > NewIn86#Edit_connection_properties_in_remote_launch Perfect. Thanks! I've just added the fact that it was a contribution from you. Ok, thanks! |
