The .settings file seemed to be deleted by Eclipse IDE.

I was removing some of my old projects that I no longer used, yet kept the projects that I needed.
Opened up Eclipse today and found half of my files won't load up because of this missing folder.
I am not amused since I have coursework that needs to be handed in tomorrow, and my coursework mark will seriously be affected by this now.

Please could you fix the bug, as many of my friends also say Eclipse likes deleting users files.

I have searched but can't seem to find a similar bug mentioned. Sorry if it has been mentioned.

Thanks

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Delete some projects from the workspace folder
2. Delete some projects from the workspace folder using Eclipse
3. Seem to delete some projects that haven't been touched .settings folder.

I have tried this but could not reproduce this problem.

Do you have any specific settings for your project? The .settings folder contains project specific settings like file specific encodings and the compiler preferences.Do your files require different encoding than the workspace? Have you installed any plugins in this Eclipse?

Do you think the .settings folder got deleted for all the projects which haven't been deleted?
