Description Martin Oberhuber CLA 2012-01-31 11:33:28 EST
Build ID: Eclipse SDK 4.2m5

Having worked a day on Java / Plugin Development with 4.2m5, I see tons of NPE's in my log (see below). These started appearing when I synchronized my CVS workspace and had some stuff in the compare viewer (editor area), and then pulled up the lower pane's handle to make the information pane larger (and editor area thus smaller).

Comment 2 Martin Oberhuber CLA 2012-01-31 11:35:26 EST
The NPE's keep appearing when I drag the lower handle, even after a "close all editors" ... although no compare viewer is visible any more.
Comment 3 Remy Suen CLA 2012-01-31 11:59:46 EST
The workaround is to use 'Window > New Window'.

At the moment, I believe bug 347558 to be the root cause.
