Description David Wegener CLA 2012-01-27 01:30:32 EST
Build Identifier: Juno Release 4.2 M4 20111215-0110

Each perspective that is opened in the M4 Juno release gets added to the Perspective bar and the size of the bar is expanded to display all opened perspectives. Eventually, enough perspectives can be opened to fill the entire width of the screen with the perspective bar hiding the perspective chooser button and the Quick Access text field. The perspective bar should stay the same size and not expand similar to how it behaves in Eclipse 3.7.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on the Open Perspective button on the Perspective Bar
2.Select a perspective that isn't already open. Perspective is opened and perspective name is added to bar. Bar expands to hold new perspective name
3.Repeat selecting a different perspective each time till the perspective bar takes up the entire width of the screen.

Yes, that needs to be fixed.

As a workaround you can switch off text by right-clicking on the perspective bar.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag.
