Description Remy Suen CLA 2012-01-26 07:55:42 EST
There was a preference before to have editor tabs only ever show one tab. We should bring this back.

If I add single: true; to .MPartStack it turns *all* my stacks into unibrow stacks (it's registered against "org.eclipse.e4.ui.css.swt.dom.CTabFolderElement"

How can I apply it only to the editor stack? Both #org-eclipse-ui-editorss (which is on the MArea) and "CTabFolder.MArea .MPartStack" don't work.

OK, to enable unibrow mode I just need this CSS:

#org-eclipse-ui-editorss CTabFolder.MPartStack {
	single: true;
}

But when the editor is active the colour isn't correct. The editor tab remains grey, so we need more CSS or we need it applied to the CTabFolder unitab.

Just to document it, this is about the preference check box labeled "Show multiple editor tabs", right? Commenting just so others (like me) can more easily connect the dots.

Yes, unchecking that preference should give one tab in the editor area in 3.x

The colours aren't set, but now I can edit it with the CSS Editor from e4 0.12.

Bogdan, how can I reset the style sheet for when you introduce new changes?

If you want to restore your CSS to its original, prepackaged shape just hit the restore defaults button. This will get rid of any changes you made and replace it with the original contents.

This is now:

#org-eclipse-ui-editorss CTabFolder.MPartStack {
   swt-single: true;
}
Comment 8 Paul Webster CLA 2012-10-26 08:35:46 EDT
It works in CSS, but it doesn't show the path of the resource like 3.x

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
