Currently the search replace preview does not cache the user selections.
The reason is because when you refresh the page all the selection might be gone because of the file contents changes.
We may want a customized selection service to validate the selection.

In the search result page, the current file + match is cached in the session, based on the search URL. 
Say, you search on a keyword, navigate to a specific file + match and leave the browser. Later on if you search on the same keyword and file is still hit, you will be navigated to that specific file + match again as the current selection.

We may want to do the similar thing but with multiple selection.

All the explorers get selection model by free. The replace page has to be redesigned so that it does not have check box. Also we need a policy for what current cursor means.
