Window -> Preferences | General -> Capabilities; enable "Classic Update" 
Note that there is no menu "Help" -> "Software Updates" added

I don't know if this is because classic update manager is not in 4.2 or because some issue with Activities.

Menu activities haven't been implemented yet, that's for M6
