Marking it major as I can't get to the view menu and more spcecifically to 'Group by > Java Problem Type', which makes the Problems View unusable for me.

If you are willing to play the game of hide and seek you can eventually find the  view menu above and slightly to the left of the minimize button. Not many users may find it though.

Deepak, what version of gtk2 do you have?  

Does adding -Dorg.eclipse.swt.internal.gtk.useCairo=false to your eclipse.ini file vmargs help?

I have RHEL5 with gtk2-2.10.4-20.e15
