In bug 369147, I mentioned that we should speed up the search result rendering speed.
In the new rendering policy I will just render the files right away and request the meta data in a deferred call.
In this way the result loading will be way faster.

fixed with http://git.eclipse.org/c/orion/org.eclipse.orion.client.git/commit/?id=9c4d57d62bd81c5400fe0bcd7134f6687c8cbc80.

The result loading is much faster now.
You will see all the matched files rendered right after the server responds, followed by the location rendered line by line.
If there is any stale file, they will be greyed out at the same time when the corresponding locations are rendered.
