Description Jim des Rivieres CLA 2003-04-25 17:52:09 EDT
Help developers tune plug-in performance. Observing and measuring the dynamic
behavior of a plug-in is key to developing plug-ins that perform well. PDE
visualizations should help the developer understand the dynamic behavior of
their running plug-in; e.g., reason for plug-in activation, elapse time to
start up, dependent plug-ins activated, etc.

Core tools could/should be used as a base for this item.
Comment 2 DJ Houghton CLA 2003-05-13 15:09:55 EDT
Moving back to PDE/UI for comment. I believe that Pascal was referring to the
Platform/Core tools which is available as a separate download from the Core
team web page.
Comment 3 Dejan Glozic CLA 2003-05-13 15:23:30 EDT
Yes, I too understood this as a request to build on top/refine the existing
Platform Core tools.

PDE should not be in the profiling business. There are projects like TPTP that are designed to accomplish tasks described here.
