If you open a compare editor from git staging view, and then switch perspectives, you get this each time:

Can you consistently reproduce this problem, Ed? I do not see it.

Yes, I have M4 installed along with the egit nightly build that was available yesterday from:

http://download.eclipse.org/egit/updates-nightly

Perhaps it's an egit problem. I don't think I had this problem until I installed the nightly...

Thanks for the information, Ed. With EGit 1.3.0.201201121315 installed on top of I20111209-2100, I was able to reproduce the problem by switching perspectives quickly after having opened a compare editor.
