I *really* like the new repository page and am extremely hopeful we can replace the current repo page with this one for 0.4. Likewise I am really looking forward to the new prefs page.

However I think it the css must be using the CSS3 flexbox model because it doesn't layout properly at all on IE9. Supposedly IE10 will support the flexbox model, (which I am anxiously awaiting so I can dump the table we are using in the header, see bug 364852 comment 5).

I think we need a different layout model for 0.4. I checked with Simon, he says IE10 is coming out around summer time.

I am assuming box is the culprit because I was playing with it for right justifying pane-level commands (see bug 360986 comment 19) and I found that boxes simply jumped to the next line on IE9 in my particular case.

fixed in Anton's initial contribution. I tried the settings page and repo page on IE9 and they are fine.
