The last change to /gitroot/platform/eclipse.platform.ui.git/hooks made the directory only modifyable by root.  Usually it looks something like:

drwxrwsr-x   4 pwebster eclipse.platform.ui

I wanted to try out the receive hook from bug 362363 but I cannot modify anything in that directory.

Ok you should now be able to to add a new hook.

Any news on this? Can we release the pre-receive hook to all repos?

We can update the repos now, but we haven't had a chance to work out the kinks in the pre-receive hook yet.
