Description Aykut Kilic CLA 2012-01-04 17:22:06 EST
There's a problem I encounter when using the xtend editor. When I hover on a type name with mouse it typically pops up a window with javadoc in it. That's normal if the type has source code. But if it doesn't, the editor (and eclipse) freezes for 10+ seconds and then nothing pops up and the editor resumes working.

Are you really use Xtext 2.2.0?
Could you please post Xtext build id or full version qualifier?

I'm seeing this problem with Xtend 2.3M5 and Juno 3.8M5 but I haven't paid attention to its interaction with Javadocs and source attachments. I only know that it is slow and churns through many resources. Here is a screencast of the delay: http://vimeo.com/36008963

Now the hover computation is done only ones and within a seperated thread. Thanks for the report.
Pushed to master.
