I was using Orion and at some point I had to remove the task data on the server (workspace/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.orion.server.core/tasks). When I restarted the browser I noticed that Orion keeps querying non-existing tasks and even if the response is 404 it does not stop asking for the task.

Done. After 404 client will no longer ask for the operation.
Before my fix client would ask for the operation for about 5 minutes.
