Description Tobias Oberlies CLA 2011-12-16 04:09:02 EST
If I want to interact with a remote, e.g. delete remote branches on my Github clone, I am forced to use the "Push..." action from the context menu of the repository tree item (Git Repositories view) and then select select the remote on the first page of the wizard. This is error-prone and makes it far too easy to do (force) updates on the wrong remote.

The solution is easy: Also offer the "Push..." action in the context menu of the individual remotes, and omit the first wizard page if the action is triggered from there.

Fully agree. The name of the "Remotes" menu already tells that these actions should be offered on the actual remotes.

Bug 418585 comment 1 sounds like this has already been correct before 3.1.

Agreed, this would be nice to have. I added the helpwanted keyword and changed the title.
