Good presentation on what's in Dojo (in general), new in 1.7, and coming in 1.8:

This item should be used to track the work to move our existing projects from 1.6 to 1.7. New work items should be created if additional EGL widgets need to be created.

Pending CQ, move to I3
Comment 3 Theresa Ramsey CLA 2012-02-16 18:01:13 EST
Doesn't look like Google has 1.7 runtime yet. Not sure that we would want different Dojo versions from local and remote.

Posted to Google API forum to see if they have plans to update and when.

According to the Dojotoolkit.org site, Google is already hosting 1.7. See: http://dojotoolkit.org/download/

Great!

The Google site still just has 1.6:
http://code.google.com/apis/libraries/devguide.html#dojo

We should test this out for the remote widget project.
Comment 6 Theresa Ramsey CLA 2012-02-21 17:33:37 EST
Will we move the versions of the widget projects up to .8? Think it makes sense with this change.
Comment 7 Brian Svihovec CLA 2012-02-22 12:52:04 EST
Technically, the widget projects should have moved up to .8 already, in .8 I1. We have not made the change yet, in hopes that we can provide some way for users to easily upgrade their widget projects and dependencies, but that doesn't look like it is going to happen any time soon. At the very least, we will rename the widget projects to .8 in .8 I3, even if we don't have an easy way for users to upgrade their widgets.

Once we get to 1.0, I believe the widget projects should start following our normal naming conventions again (i.e. Major.Minor.Service).
