Description libing wang CLA 2011-12-07 12:32:28 EST
After we introduced search parameters(sort, rows, start and location), the URL is too long to be used as a saved search name.
We should generate a readable name, such as "search foo on some scope/folder".
We should also allow user to rename it later.
Given that we may use the left pane as the result pane and right pane(optional)as the detail pane(e.g. preview when replace, or, even an editor while you are navigating the result in the normal mode), we may want to remove the current content of favorites and saved search. In this case user will not see the saved search right away. We should also think about it.

For M1, I will just leave the left pane as it is and put named search on there.

FIxed with a4a5ba7661083f52f01a058a94dfa227508c72d3.
Now the saved search shows a readable name as "search String" in {some folder}.
Please ignore what I said previously :
" We may want to remove the current content of favorites and saved search. In this case user will not see the saved search right away. We should also think about it."

I think we will just keep the left pane as the favorite pane.In case of replace I will just minimize the left pane and use top-down container in the right pane, where the top shows the file list and the bottom shows diff.
