Needs more investigation. That table uses the same label provider as the target locations group in the editor and wizard.

We are adding two styled string segments, same as elsewhere. I wonder if something on the UI side is confused by the $.

What do you see if you change the target platform to a specific directory rather than a variable ${ECLIPSE_HOME}? Double click on the target definition, on the locations tab, double click on the only entry, change the ${ECLIPSE_HOME} to a file path.

Note that when switching to rtl, I have problems with the brackets everywhere styled string label providers are used, including the search view. The first character is moved to the right side. The $ case is different as ${ becomes }$ actually changing the characters.

Paul, can you tell me anything about how we are supposed to handle RTL in the styled label providers?

Bug 274313 could be related.

Curtis, what is the widget that's displaying "${ECLIPSE_HOME}..." in the screenshots?

It is a jface TableViewer with a StyledCellLabelProvider and an ArrayContentProvider

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
