Description

The problem here is that the Technology PMC generally just takes care of the VCS stuff on at the same time the approve the election. By the time you got this email and act on it, the VCS step has already been taken. The Employer info request is totally bogus. I'll clean up the message that's sent out. The message has been changed: -- From: portal-noreply@eclipse.org (portal on behalf of William Committee) To: developer1@example.com Subject: Please fill in VCS information for Karl Candidate Alex O'Developer, Karl Candidate was elected by the Committers and approved by the PMC as a Committer on the technology.foo project. The next step is for you, as Project Lead, to return to the portal: http://portal.eclipse.org/ and fill in the information about which VCS packages should be granted to Karl Candidate. Note that the rules have changed since this portal component was created and we haven't had a chance to properly update it yet. Since all committers on a project now have access to all resources on a project, this question just doesn't make any sense. Please just enter '*' in both fields and click 'save'. For more information, see Bug 332534. By the time you receive this note, this step may have already been completed by the PMC or another project lead. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your PMC member or the EMO <emo@eclipse.org> -- |
