Here's a case of old service data that Libing and Susan ran into recently.

1. "webEditingPlugin.html" is declared in Orion's defaults.pref file. It contributes a bunch of declarative properties for several services. It has no service methods.
2. I committed this change to webEditingPlugin:
  http://git.eclipse.org/c/orion/org.eclipse.orion.client.git/diff/bundles/org.eclipse.orion.client.core/web/plugins/webEditingPlugin.html?id=771d55acdcda294a9f4da25e40f879829671161c
It still has no service methods -- just metadata.
3. Later, Libing pulls the change from Step 2, runs it.
4. Libing sees the service data from Step 1, not Step 2.

He had to do localStorage.clear() to flush it out.

I thought that people's cached service data would expire between Step 2 and Step 3, so they wouldn't be burned by my change, but that didn't happen.
