We should add a new action to the Task repositories View menu to disconnect all repositories at once (and the other way around, expect repos which were disconnected anyway). I have a need for this often recently when working on cellular networks and don't want to sync thousands of tasks in the background.

Agreed. This should be part of a larger improvement to allow better control over synchronization activities (bug 373888).
