The version "3.7.0.r372_v20111103" of plugin "org.eclipse.pde.doc.user" in feature is lower than its version "3.7.0.v20110601-0800" in feature (id: "org.eclipse.pde";version: "3.7.0.v20110504-0800-7b7qFVpFEx2XnmYtj_9RfO7";

Fixed in R3_7_maintenance. Changed version to 3.7.2.qualifier as I believe the doc bundle version are supposed to match the release as they have no API. The only change to the doc bundle was to some line endings 2 weeks ago.

Doc bundle is tagged for the next build r372_v20111117

No, we do not try to match bundle versions to any particular release number. If it was 3.7.0 in R3.7.1, then the right number is 3.7.1 for 3.7.2. But I suggest we leave it as is now.

Verified.  Version is 3.7.2.
