Sample Application Workspace Without Plug-ins none

Description Markus Eberhard CLA 2011-11-15 11:59:13 EST
Build Identifier: I20111028-1100

Working with the RCP Mail template extended by help features according to "http://www.eclipse.org/articles/article.php?file=Article-AddingHelpToRCP/index.html" the context sensitive help doesn't work as expected.
The context sensitive help snippet is shown for the control "Mailboxes" but not as expected for control "Message". Using the identical workspace with Eclipse Build ID M20110912-1510 the context sensitive help is shown as expected (but the context sensitive help link "see also -> Subtopic" leads to a NullPointerException in org.eclipse.jface.action.StatusLineManager$1.beginTask(StatusLineManager.java:157) - with enabled StatusBar the test-application works as expected).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set up the test project as described by "http://www.eclipse.org/articles/article.php?file=Article-AddingHelpToRCP/index.html"
2. Execute the test application
3. Activate the "Dynamic Help"
4. Click into the displayed mail message -> no context sensitive help is shown
5. Click into the mailboxes tree -> the context sensitive help snippet expected for the mail message is shown

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
