I am not sure if it is a good idea, or, even possible or not.
But when I do a global search and click on a match, I would like to see find & replace in the editor so that I don't have to hit CTRL+F and type the search string again. This is very helpful specially when wild card search happens in global search otherwise I have to convert wild card to regular expression.

Another option is to "select" the string in the editor in the line when it is brought up then you just need to do CTRL+F. But still, regular expression can't be put there.
