Trying to install Papyrus on a plain Eclipse is rather a complicate exercise. The safest is to have the modeling package, or others like the Topcased RCP package.

There is also interest from the JBoss tools to simplify the same, see
http://community.jboss.org/wiki/AddingPapyrusMDTUMLToolsToJBDS

Would it be possible that we only need an update site from a given MDT Papyrus version and that would fetch all what is really needed for an installation on top of a plain Eclipse?

I think this could increase Papyrus adoption and testing.

It is currently possible to install Papyrus from a single update site (Either from the standard Eclipse Train update site, or from a Papyrus-specific update site).

I close this task.
