Condition of satisfaction update: The quick launch button should be added to the "Terminals" view toolbar too. Behavior shall be exactly the same. |
For simplifying the access to the remote terminals feature, a quick launch button like the run or debug buttons should be available in the Eclipse global toolbar. Condition of satisfaction: The terminals button opens a dialog to (A) Select the type of terminal to launch (TCF, SSH, ...) if there are more than one possibility. (B) Specify IP address and port to connect to. (C) Showing the terminal type specific settings panel, if there is any, to query the terminal type specific settings, like the SSH user and password in example.
