Summary: [Preferences] Preferences Cancel doesn't work on Startup and Shutdown settings

Severity: normal

Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows XP
Whiteboard: stalebug

Description Robert Kish CLA 2011-10-17 10:27:35 EDT
Windows -> Preferences -> General -> Startup and Shutdown. If all Plug-ins are activated on startup, then try the following. Disable Mylyn Tasks UI. Click Ok to save the settings. Go back into preferences, and press Restore Defaults. Then press Cancel. When you go back into settings, the setting has been turned back on. This is not consistant behavior with other settings pages where cancel does not save the changes.

Comment 1 Remy Suen CLA 2011-10-17 10:52:18 EDT
This bug appears to have nothing to do with Eclipse's Java tooling.
Comment 2 Remy Suen CLA 2011-11-22 16:52:35 EST
I cannot reproduce this problem with I20111116-0810. Oleg, can you?
Comment 3 Oleg Besedin CLA 2011-11-23 10:23:56 EST
Yes, I can duplicate it with both 38M1 and N20111121-2000.
Comment 4 Remy Suen CLA 2011-11-24 13:10:46 EST
It seems like the problem only happens if there are two or more items in the table. If there is only one then it doesn't happen.
Comment 5 Lars Vogel CLA 2019-11-14 03:45:48 EST
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag.
