Description

i guess this is working as designed Dani? Yes. There is an option to disable folding of packages in the Package Explorer. Folding is not supported in the Packages view because Packages view also shows logical packages (i.e. same fragements declared in different source folders). You have given an explanation why this can be considered a non-bug. The fact remains that I would like to have a view that a. Does _not_ show Project b. Shows packages in hierarchichal view with package folding. Is folding not supported in packages view because it is difficult? time- consuming in some cases (i.e., with multiple soruce folders)? Couldn't I, as the user decide, if I want to take the performance hit? Because it is time consuming. We already have lots of options and did not want to add more. Most users would probably enable folding and be surprised that (in some cases) it takes much longer than in the Pacakge Explorer. If you think you need this you can open the bug report again and tag it as "enhancement". Please implement package folding for the Packages view. This could be under the control of an option distinct from package folding option for Package Explorer and said option could indicate that enabling it may be time-consuming. Depends on 2.2 planning. *** Bug 251249 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported. Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you. |
