Build Identifier: 3.7.1

When opening eclipse under gtk3 the splash screen shows a resize grip on the bottom right corner.

There is a gtk api the application can use to disable the grip.

Reproducible: Always

I think this is bug with the back porting of the Grip functionality to GTK2 in ubuntu rather than an Eclipse bug.

Not that I doubt you, but what led you to this conclusion? Is there a GTK or Ubuntu bug opened on this issue?
Comment 3 Timothy Arceri CLA 2011-11-08 02:29:35 EST
Yes there is a GTK bug open for Ubuntu here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/734381

Please see my last three comments on that bug to see how I came to this conclusion.

Thank you. Very helpful. (I "voted" for it :) ... Purely cosmetic, but it is somehow less bothersome to me knowing its not eclipse.
