Description Susan McCourt CLA 2011-10-10 13:05:12 EDT
RC1 candidate, orion.eclipse.org
I was having trouble running the git log page from an inner site.

The error was
"NetworkError: 405 Method Not Allowed - http://orion.eclipse.org/gitapi/remote/origin/master/file/Cf/?page=1" (http://orion.eclipse.org/gitapi/remote/origin/master/file/Cf/?page=1)

followed by a bunch of
Error: Unable to load http://orion.eclipse.org/gitapi/remote/origin/master/file/Cf/?page=1 status:0

I realized afterward that I was not logged in. The "Security" menu was showing.

Once I logged in, I got farther (will open another bug on that).

Expected a 401 error rather than 405.

However when I try to reproduce this error (by logging out), I get the 401.
Note that this was running an inner self hosting site, I've always seen the expected behavior on orion.eclipse.org

I had also run into other difficulties and had cleared the browser cache before trying to go the URL, maybe that contributed to the problem?

this was on firefox 7

This doesn't seem to be an issue any more.
