version 1.1.0.201109151100-r

From History View> Select the last two commits> Compare with each other

Open the compare editor by double clicking on any file

The compare editors show the wrong commit numbers on top. The last commit is shown on the left editor and the second to last on the right. However, the changes in the right one reflect the changes done by last commit.

Also, the Java Structure compare shows the APIs added in the last commit as "removed" instead of being "added".

This bug seems to be about the 'History' view and not the 'Synchronize' view. How does this bug depend on bug 358898?

No, it doesn't. Sorry, I just cloned this bug off of 358898 since it was already open in my browser, and forgot to erase the "depends on" field. :(

Given that synchronize view is unusable (bug 358898), I use the history view to compare, but the wrong commit numbers can be quite annoying.

Also, I think it would be handy to show the branch names in addition to commit id. I often compare a local branch with master and reading the commit ids is a bit cumbersome. (Should this request go in a separate bug report?)

This has been fixed with bug 350623 in EGit 2.0.

Yes, please open a separate bug report about that.
