Description
Lu Yao
This is something that we should discuss before making any changes. We have never renamed or deleted obsolete generated artifacts in the past, in part due to the complexities involved. This is something that would be a good idea to support, but we need to make sure it's philosophically sound beforehand. It might also be wise to add a preference that enables this feature so that users can disable it if they don't want us to delete generated files. It might be the case that in EDT this isn't complex anymore (I think the generators have API to return what files they would generate for a part). Unless this is causing problems, I think a discussion on this topic should not occur until after .7 ships. Return to Forest as it will be completed in coming release verified |
